Registration

Registration opens February 22, 12am ET!
We strongly encourage registering early—our last Placemaking Week sold out!

Early registration closes on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:59PM ET.

The current rate for the conference is $625 USD.

Full registration gives you access to all conference plenary and breakout sessions, coffee breaks, refreshments at the opening and closing receptions, and participation at a mobile workshop of your choice.

Registered attendees will be able to sign up for a Mobile Workshop on our conference platform, Whova, starting on March 26, 2026. Full descriptions are available on Whova, and linked here for your convenience. Capacities are limited for each workshop and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whova Conference Platform

Whova is our conference hub where you can build out your schedule and network with fellow attendees. You will be automatically added to Whova when you register, and you will be notified in March when the desktop webpage and mobile app are available to use!

Groups

Group tickets are available for companies and organizations that are attending with three or more people. Groups receive $50 off each ticket at the current rate.

Invoices

If credit card payment is not an option, please email info@placemakingweek.org to request to pay by invoice (via check or wire transfer). Once your payment is received, we will send instructions on how to register.

Scholarships

You may apply for scholarships by completing this form by March 30, 2026, 11:59pm ET. Scholarships will follow a pay-what-you-can model where applicants will propose what they are able to pay to attend this conference. This amount will not be considered as part of the selection process. Applicants will be notified of their status in early April 2026.

Any scholarship amount awarded applies directly to the cost of registration fees only. We are unable to offer support for travel, accommodation, or other expenses.

Historically, urban planning, design and related fields have mostly been accessible to a privileged few. This scholarship application process will prioritize practitioners from low-income communities, communities of color, and other communities affected by social inequities, as well as emerging practitioners (under 5 years of experience). Given recent disruptions in the civil service, state and federal workers in relevant fields who have lost their positions since January 1, 2025, will also be eligible for scholarships. All applicants must clearly describe how the conference will support their current work or professional development.

Refund policy

Full refunds, net of transaction fees, can be issued until May 27, 2026. If you request a refund between May 28 and June 4, 2026, we can provide a refund of 50% of the registration price, net of transaction fees. No refunds will be issued for requests made on or after June 5, 2026.
